Agrarian exports bring USD 18bn for Ukraine

The exports of agricultural and food products increased by 16% y/y in Ukraine in 2017

The exports of agricultural and food products from Ukraine increased by 16% y/y to USD 17.9bn in 2017, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine citing Olga Trofimtseva the deputy head of the Office for European Integration.

The largest consumers of Ukrainian products were the countries from Asia accounting to almost 43% of the exports. The countries of the European Union imported 32% of the Ukrainian agricultural and food products. The countries of Africa made up 14%, the CIS countries - 7.6%, the USA - 0.4% and other countries - 2.8%.

The major volume of exports make grain crops with a share of 36.2%, the second spot take vegetable oils - 25.1%, and the third place is with the export of oilseeds - 11.3%.
