Gitlab attracts USD 20mln venture capital in its Series C round

The startup was created by Dmitriy Zaporozhets from Kharkiv, Ukraine

Startup GitLab, delivered by Dmitriy Zaporozhets from Kharkiv in Ukraine, raised USD 20mln in Series C round led by GV (Google Ventures). As a result, the total funding of the project amounted to outstanding USD 45.5mln. GitLab is a collaboration and DevOps platform that help developers from more than 100 000 organizations including Ticketmaster, ING, NASDAQ, Sony, VMWare and Intel.  

The raised funds will be channeled into development of new software solutions in the product range. GitLab was developed by Dmitriy Zaporozhets for his own purposes as a git-based open source tool for hosting code repositories. Since its launch in 2014, the company added many DevOps centric services including workflow tools, review/test/release automation and application monitoring to its lineup.
