NBU arranges UAH 2.3bn (USD 80mln) refinancing for PrivatBank

The decision took place on January 10

Domestic currency board arranged refinancing worth UAH 2.3bn (USD 80mln) for a recently nationalized PrivatBank. The refinancing under treasury bond collaterals matures in 84 days at the annualized yield of 16.5%.

The funds will be channeled into the development of lending to small and medium-sized enterprises with a help of AgroKUB program in particular, according to the press service of PrivatBank.

AgroKUB will disburse at least UAH 5bn in the frames of the program of financial support for Ukrainian businesses this year.

To note, the Kyiv Administrative Court of Appeal solved PrivatBank to return UAH 1.05bn UAH, USD 266 thousand and EUR 7.8 thousand in favor of the Surkis family, on 6 November, 2017. The funds of the family were written off during the nationalization.
