Oleksii Vitchenko's App Solutions acquires Ukrainian IT outsourcing company Grossum

App Solutions expects the deal to result in “higher efficiency” for its business, “strengthening expertise in web and mobile development and improving the company’s positions in the IT outsourcing market.”

US-headquartered App Solutions, which already had an R&D office in Ukraine, has set the strategic goal of “growing into a Top-10 IT outsourcing company in Ukraine.”

Further acquisitions are considered.

“By combining our efforts, we will be able to […] provide our customers with more advanced technological solutions. We will also improve the efficiency of sales and marketing, which will increase the flow of customers from Western Europe and the US,” said Grossum founder Mykola Slobodian.

Slobodian will join App Solutions’ founder Oleksii Vitchenko as a partner and CEO of the joint business.

 

While preserving separate brands and legal entities, the two companies will integrate their teams and business processes, and consolidate marketing efforts in positioning the two brands as the next step.

The combined client offer spans from web and mobile applications development, to marketing of software products. The field of expertise include e-commerce, advertising and marketing technologies, p2p services, IoT software, Big Data, artificial intelligence and media.

Earlier this year Luxoft, an international provider of software development services with Russian roots, acquired IntroPro. This engineering consultancy employs development teams in Ukraine to serve essentially clients in North America.

Last year Altran announced the acquisition of Lohika, a Silicon Valley-headquartered software development company with Ukrainian roots.
