Domestic blockchain marketplace DMarket raises USD 11.5mln at ICO

It was first ICO of Ukrainian startups

Blockchain based marketplace for in-game items DMarket raised USD 11.5mln at the initial coin offering (ICO). The major part of the tokens worth USD 9mln was sold for ethereum cryptocurrency (ETH). The other transactions were in bitcoins or channeled via skins.cash platform. Notably, DMarket attracted USD 2.5mln during pre-sales offering session. Blockchain investment firm Pantera was a key backer investor then. DMarket planned to sell from 5 to 50mln tokens arriving at 30mln tokens sold (1000 DMarket tokens cost 1 ETH). The coming token sales of DMarket is scheduled for November 2017. The cost will increase to 750 DMarket tokens for 1 ETH, up 25%. After the second offering, the team has no plans to further make placements. DMarket is a global market place for in-game items. The founders are Alexander Kakhanovskiy and Vladimir Panchenko. Alexander is a member of the executive board of Ukrainian cybersports club Na’Vi and Vladimir is a founder of skins.cash platform for virtual items sales. The startupers from Ukraine believe that DMarket tokens will become a major gaming currency in the world.
