The aim of the project is to create a platform that will help food manufacturers to promote their products, suppliers – to find quickly the right product, customers – to purchase food products directly from manufacturers.
Unique advantages:
- Maximum adaptation of the platform to the food market. For example, the time for growing poultry is 7 months. Moreover, this product can be sold in a certain period of time. The food market has a lot of such specific details, all of which will be reflected, agreed upon and streamlined on the platform.
- Pre-order prepaid. This option will solve many problems of the Farmer: confidence in the sale of products, the ability to lay down initially a larger number of livestock and receive money for the purchase of feed. The Customer, in turn, will receive a guaranteed supply of products at a reduced price.
- Direct relationships between the Manufacturer and the Customer without intermediaries, which will reduce the cost of production. Currently, most of the market works through intermediaries.
The platform will offer all participants the following services:
- Search within the platform for a wide field of very specific parameters related only to the food market.
- Base ads. Including seasonal, with the possibility of setting the possible time of shipment.
- Sites of manufacturers and customers within the platform. With a deep description of all parameters of each product. As well as supply and demand.
- Food delivery sites inside the platform. The platform will lead and unite the trend of creating sites for the delivery of farm products, food products and partially, ready-made food.
- Combining orders. Allows small households to fully participate and develop on the market
- Organization on the platform of payment instruments that will allow combining cash flows and concluding agreements through internal verification
- Where in regions, what and how much is produced, sold, at what point in time is sold and in what volumes is transported. This information can be used to create a niche on the market – to create additional sales and services.
Marketing and market:
The platform sets itself the task of combining the entire food market with the subsequent rapid development of farms, private producers of finished products, and small households and providing services to customers in B2B, B2C, C2C, C2B formats.
There is no direct competitor in the form of such a platform. There are a number of ad sites (fairly simplified). Also, some marketplaces add food products in a minimum amount (but by no means the entire necessary assortment, no intermediate production goods, without specialization and necessary services for this market).
Platform members:
- Producers: large agricultural holdings, farms, micro-farms, (ordinary rural yard).
- Suppliers: wholesale warehouses, transport companies, intermediary companies.
- Buyers: supermarkets, shops, bazaars, online stores with delivery.
First of all, our clients will be farms, small and medium-sized food producers and their direct customers.
At the next stage, we will offer products and convenient services for chain stores and hypermarkets.
Promotion plan:
The platform will be created and promoted in stages. At the beginning, as a database of ads with unique search and sorting capabilities, later as the ability to create manufacturers' websites inside the platform, even later the service will provide the ability to combine orders into wholesale.
With proper funding, the platform will be fully launched in a year. The analysis, refinement, improvement, promotion will be conducted over the next six months. The entry into foreign markets is predicted in 1.5 - 2 years.
Planned market share: 25% of the turnover in the country's food market.
Team and its competencies:
At the moment, the startup has several regular participants and about 10 consultants involved:
- director, with experience in managing his/her own company and extensive experience as a top manager;
- specialist in website development and SEO optimization;
- temporarily attracted employees for specific tasks.
In the future, the project team will comprise about 200 people.
Current status:
The web-site takysmachno.com was created for testing purposes, with it we entered into a crisis, carried out the deliveries and evaluated the market, demand. We received a positive result on some important parameters.
Own contribution at the moment:
- 5 years of work and the formation of a working idea of the project;
- implemented and working online store for the delivery of farm products;
- direct cash costs of $ 15,000.
