The essence of the project
It is planned to put into mass production the innovative and world's first amphibious armored car "Strom". A demonstration copy of Strom 3.0 was created on the basis of the armored car of the Strom 2.0 series already available in Ukraine.
Market analysis
To date, the release of serial models with similar performance characteristics is not known. We are the first to be ready to mass-produce amphibious armored vehicles.
Problem
Today there is a great need for fast universal hybrid armored vehicles (amphibious vehicles). These are the cars of the future.
The armored car has several power sources and is the most economical of the known analogues, fuel consumption is 15 liters per 100 km. (the closest analogues have 40 liters). The machine is not noticeable on thermal radars and is almost silent. She can overcome obstacles at high speed in a short period of time in difficult terrain to move. Cars can be unmanned and autonomous, as well as with the use of laser weapons, as there is a large source of energy (100-150 kW battery). All this makes the machine indispensable in military affairs, both for special operations and for combined arms.
Brief performance characteristics: 10 troops + 2 crew = 12 people. Armament up to 30 mm + 2 machine guns 7.62. Installation of mortars from the stern or in the body up to 100 mm. The platform for installing the gun is designed for 1.2 tons. Load capacity 3.5 tons. Maintaining buoyancy. Armox 500 Stanag level 3 armor, explosion protection 4a circular armor 14mm, Sweden. Armor slope from 38 to 56 degrees. Composite + Kevlar internal armor, v-hull to disperse the shock wave and fragments, withstand up to 10 kg of TNT under the track and 4b mines under the bottom. Armored glass withstands 14.5mm hit.
This all-terrain vehicle is a free-use platform for a large sector of tasks. Noiselessness on land and water, no thermal trace of the machine for tracking with a thermal imager and targeting. Minimum visibility of radar detection.
The Marder armored car (Germany), which is inferior in all respects, today costs 880,000 euros, the production cost of the Strom armored car in serial production can be increased to 350,000 euros.
Current status of project development
To date, the project has passed three versions 1.0, 2.0 is available in Kyiv, and version 3.0 of the machine in the UAE, which took part in the IDEX-2021 exhibition in Abu Dhabi. After testing, all design flaws were removed.
Available: 3D drawings, a platform for the production of a demo version (in Kyiv) and mass production (in the city of Kremenets, Ternopil region), suppliers, a team of performers and designers.
There are letters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the need for such a machine and the readiness to accept it into service after demonstrating its tactical and technical capabilities, confirmed in state tests.
Required investment
Minimum required investment: $250,000-300,000 to complete a demonstration model without a power battery and an electric motor.
Direct financing of a demonstration model is being considered, which uses an existing armored car of the 2.0 series and joins a 50% share in the founders of a newly formed enterprise. We are also ready to discuss other proposals for cooperation.
