The idea of the project emerged before the war and was related to the automation of agriculture — the creation of machinery capable of operating in the field without a driver. The primary focus was on using such solutions in vineyards and orchards for pruning, spraying, mulching, and mowing grass.
Due to active hostilities, a new need has emerged for logistics solutions capable of operating in dangerous conditions. In particular, this applies to areas with dense mine contamination, the need to deliver heavy cargo, and the evacuation of the wounded.
The solution is based on a modular design. Two platform modifications are envisaged: a small version with a payload capacity of up to 100 kg and a towing capacity of up to 300 kg with a semi-trailer, as well as a large version with a payload capacity of up to 250 kg and a towing capacity of up to 700 kg with a semi-trailer.
Drive system: electric motors, power supply, battery, operating range of 10–20 km.
The design uses standard electric motors, including solutions based on motors with a power range of 250–1,000 W. The tracked drive system is the project’s own development, as ready-made solutions from snowmobiles and mini-excavators showed low efficiency in mud.
Radio channel, fiber optic cable, and Starlink may be used for communication. Each type of communication has its own limitations: Starlink is difficult to use in forest belts, fiber optic cable may break during movement, and the radio channel depends on line of sight and may be subject to jamming. Therefore, the optimal solution is to combine several communication channels.
The radio-channel control system provides for the use of a repeater.
A number of tests have been conducted with different types of wheel motors, batteries, communication systems, and tracks. Video channel frequency: 1,300–5,800 MHz; control frequency: 170–900 MHz; 360-degree cameras.
INVESTMENT PROPOSAL
Purpose of investment attraction: development of an unmanned ground system, including a control system and mobile modules of various types — ground, waterborne, and amphibious.
Stage 1
Production of a working prototype and transfer for testing as a logistics system.
Cost estimate:
- Control station + 5 m mast with antennas. The control frequency can be adjusted from 170 to 900 MHz: UAH 30,000
- Repeater based on a small unmanned ground platform with an extendable antenna up to 3 m: UAH 100,000
- Small tractor unit: UAH 50,000
- Large tractor unit: UAH 100,000
- Small semi-trailer: UAH 6,000
Required investment for Stage 1: $7,000
Stage 2
- Stabilized turret: $5,000
- Low-speed watercraft: $3,000
- Amphibious vehicle: $12,000
Required investment for Stage 2: $20,000
Stage 3
Codification, registration of a legal entity, and creation of a technological line for mass production.
The required investment amount for Stage 3 depends on the results of product testing.
