Kosyno Health and Recreation Complex is located in the urban-type settlement of Kosyno (Koson), Berehove district, Zakarpattia region, on the territory of a 200-year-old oak grove, with an area of 5 hectares.
The territorial location of the complex near the border with Hungary has significantly affected the style in which it has been made. Basically, it is the Austro-Hungarian style, which corresponds to the white plaster and brown wood, specific carvings on it.
If you look in the middle of the complex, you will see the reception and a large hall. Everything is made in the Austro-Hungarian style, especially it is emphasized by the current Austrian wood stove, a rare wall clock, hand-spun curtains, with embroidery inherent in this area, in the form of tulips.
Fifteen years ago, there was an old base in this area. And in 2006 the territory was bought, later in 2012 a 5-year project on development of a health improvement and recreational complex was launched. It is planned to build its own hotel and other attractions for vacationers.
Health and recreation complex "Kosyno" offers to recuperate in the thermal waters of Zakarpattia. The healing water of the resort rises from one of the three currently operating wells in Zakarpattia, under the name 16 T. The hot geyser of thermal water flows from the heart of the earth, and then cools on its way. The depth of the well is 1,190 meters underground. Water comes to the surface with a temperature of about + 55 °C, cooled to + 41 °C and fed into the pools.
The useful properties of such water have been determined by experts in this field. According to the balneological conclusion, the thermal waters of Kosyno deposit are intended for external use for curing the following diseases:
- musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis, arthritis, polyarthritis, the consequences of joint fractures, postoperative condition, joint tissue disease,
- diseases of the cardiovascular system: hypertension I-II stage, with a violation of the circulatory system of the I stage, postmyocardial cardiosclerosis with a violation of the circulatory system of the I stage,
- peripheral nervous system: injuries of nervous extremities and plexuses, diseases of the nervous system, radiculitis, polyradiculoneuritis,
- peripheral vessels: atherosclerosis of the vessels of the extremities, endarteritis with circulatory disorders of I-II degree, acroangioneurosis, varicose veins,
- miliary system: chronic acalculous cholecystitis, non-biliary discs, condition after cholecystectomy.
According to its chemical composition, the thermal water of Kosyno resort is rich in iron (mass concentration 1.62), manganese, potassium, silicon, sodium, fluorine, zinc and other trace elements that have a complex effect on the whole human body.
