Agricultural company Agroprodservice (APS) commissioned the second phase of a dairy farm in Ternopil Region at the end of August 2026. The new complex is designed for loose housing of 2,200 cows and is equipped with a modern milking parlor for 60 animals.
The launch of the farm’s second phase was announced by Ukrainian MP Ivan Chaikivskyi. According to him, the development of agribusiness during the war is an important indicator of economic resilience and contributes to additional job creation, tax revenues and production capacity.
“When a business continues to develop and move forward despite everything, it is the best indicator of the country’s economic condition... It means more jobs, employees receiving salaries and paying taxes, a larger cattle herd and higher milk output — all of which reflects the sustainable development of agribusiness,” Chaikivskyi wrote.
The technical specifications of the new complex were disclosed by GEA Ukraine, which supplied equipment for the farm. According to the company, the facility is designed to accommodate 2,200 cows under a loose-housing system, enabling a more modern dairy farming model and increasing the company’s production capacity.
The farm is also equipped with a milking parlor for 60 cows. The modern equipment is expected to improve milking efficiency and ensure more stable organization of milk production.
The launch of the farm’s second phase comes amid the ongoing modernization of Ukraine’s agricultural sector. For large milk producers, expanding capacity makes it possible to increase output, improve resource efficiency and strengthen their position in the domestic market.
For Ternopil Region, the development of the livestock segment also has regional significance. The expansion of production is expected to create additional jobs, increase tax revenues and boost demand for related services, including feed production, transportation, veterinary services and agricultural processing.
Agroprodservice is one of the largest agricultural companies in Ternopil Region. The company is engaged in crop production, livestock farming, poultry farming and seed production, and also provides grain harvesting and drying services. Its business structure includes, among others, Ternopil Meat Processing Plant LLC and a retail store network.
The company’s land bank totals approximately 37,000 hectares, making Agroprodservice a major player in the regional agricultural market. The expansion of its dairy business complements its existing operations, which combine crop production and livestock farming.
