AMCU Approves Astarta’s Acquisition of Two Agricultural Companies in Poltava Region

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has allowed Ancor Investments Limited, affiliated with agricultural holding Astarta, to acquire control over two agricultural enterprises in Poltava region

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted permission to Ancor Investments Limited, a company registered in Nicosia, Cyprus, to acquire control over two agricultural enterprises located in Poltava region. The companies in question are Orion Moloko LLC and Vidrodzhennia Enterprise LLC. The relevant decisions were officially confirmed by the AMCU press service: first, approval was granted for the acquisition of Orion Moloko, followed by a similar approval for the acquisition of Vidrodzhennia.

Publicly available sources indicate that Ancor Investments Limited is affiliated with major agricultural holding Astarta Holding PLC, whose corporate structure also includes the well-known Ukrainian company Astarta-Kyiv. This means that the expansion is effectively taking place in the interests of the Astarta group, which is strengthening its position in Ukraine’s agricultural sector.

According to data from the YouControl analytical system, both acquired enterprises operate in agriculture and have similar business profiles. They are engaged in the cultivation of grain crops, legumes, and oilseed crops, while also developing livestock operations. This makes them valuable assets for the agricultural holding, as they complement its core business.

The previous owners of these companies were foreign investors — Marina Segal of Israel and Sarah Perez of the United States, who acted as co-owners of these agricultural enterprises.

Accordingly, following AMCU approval, Astarta, through its Cyprus-based structure, will be able to establish control over these assets, expanding its land bank and production capacity in Poltava region and strengthening its position in Ukraine’s agricultural market.
