Appliance retailer Foxtrot to invest UAH 160mln (USD 6mln) in stores renewal

The retailer plans to restyle its 40 stores in 2018

Home appliances and consumer electronics retailer Foxtrot plans to invest UAH 160mln in restyling and upgrading of its 40 stores over Ukraine in 2018. The reconstruction expenditure per store will amount to UAH 3-4mln.

The first next format store had been launched in Gorodok shopping mall in Kyiv. The total space of the store amounts to 1,443 square meters there with a shopping floor space of 1,340 sq.m.

The major reconstruction works will take place in capital Kyiv city this year, but also in the regions of the country. Notably, the company is set on revitalizing space for its 156 stores during the next 2-3 years. 

At this, Foxtrot will open 10 absolutely new stores in 2018, told Tatiana Moyseinko the chief commercial officer of the retailer. In 2017, the appliance retailer Foxtrot launched 11 new stores. 

Supplementary to major stores under Foxtrot brand, the company also manages DEPO't Center, Fantasy town, Technoshara and Sekunda stores. In 2016, Foxtrot was ranked first as the most profitable consumer electronics retailer by a publisher of Top 100. Majors' rating. Notably, Foxtrot posted net profit of UAH 6.5bn that time.
