British American Tobacco to invest USD 123mln (USD 5mln) in Ukraine

The tobacco major plans to significantly expand its production facilities at the Pryluky Tobacco Factory in Chernigiv region of Ukraine

Tobacco major British American Tobacco Ukraine revealed its plans of investing UAH 123mln (USD 5mln) into the capital construction of new production facilities at Pryluky tobacco factory.

The Ukrainian factory of the company has a good export potential which may significantly increase the volumes and expand the geography of product deliveries, told Artem Skrypka, the director of production of the region of Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia, Moldova and Belarus.

 Now British American Tobacco Ukraine will work on the transformation of the Pryluky tobacco factory into a production and export hub to meet demand for products of consumers not only of the nearby countries but also other overseas.

British American Tobacco is the second largest tobacco producer in the world.

The British company manages such cigarette brands as Dunhill, Kent, Vogue, Pall Mall, Lucky Strike and others.
