CMA CGM Group To Invest EUR 20 Million In Container Handling Capacity Of Odesa Sea Port

Investments of the French shipping company CMA CGM Group will significantly increase the volume of transshipment in Ukraine

As reported by the press-service of Odesa Sea Port Authority, CMA CGM Group, a leading worldwide shipping group, will invest EUR 20 million in development of Brooklyn-Kyiv Port LLC. This investment will allow the container operator to double the container handling volume in the next five years and to increase its combined capacity up to 0.5 million TEU.

Investment project will be implemented within the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (ASPU), Odesa Commercial Sea Port, Brooklyn-Kyiv LLC and CMA CGM Group.

The project involves the lengthening of the berth No. 42 berthing line to 370 meters, as well as the reconstruction of the berths No. 13-3 and 14-3 of Odesa Sea Port.

The project will be submitted to the Sea Port Board for approval in the first quarter of 2019.
