Corteva has confirmed its intention to invest $15 million in expanding seed production in Ukraine while increasing exports to the EU and raising revenue to UAH 5.8 billion

Corteva Agriscience, a global agricultural science and technology company, has confirmed plans to invest about $15 million in the modernization and expansion of seed production in Ukraine. The announcement was made by Olena Dunina, the company’s Chief Financial Officer for Ukraine, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. According to her, Ukraine remains one of Corteva’s strategically important markets in Europe.

The company’s main production facilities in Ukraine are located in Poltava region, where it produces sunflower, corn, and rapeseed seeds. Since 2022, seeds produced in the country have been exported to European Union markets, reflecting the expansion of external shipments and the integration of Ukrainian production into the European market.

The company is also actively developing its research segment. In 2025, it launched the “Agroprostir” field research platform, designed to test new agricultural technologies and innovative solutions.

Corteva Agriscience is one of the world’s largest suppliers of crop protection products and seeds. It has operated as an independent public company since June 1, 2019, when it was spun off from DowDuPont’s agricultural division.

In May 2022, following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Corteva announced its exit from the Russian and Belarusian markets. In the same year, the company signed a declaration with Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy to expand cooperation aimed at strengthening food security.

In 2024, Corteva launched the Soil Tests program, which helps farmers identify war-related soil contamination and make informed decisions about its safe use.

In Ukraine, the company operates through Corteva Agriscience Ukraine LLC. At the end of 2025, its revenue exceeded UAH 5.8 billion, nearly UAH 1 billion more than in 2024, indicating continued business growth even under wartime conditions.
