According to the press release, the funding round was co-led by EIFO and Maj Invest. EIFO is currently running a dedicated €550 million support program for Ukraine, and the investment in Dropla Tech is part of Denmark’s long-term strategy to aid Ukraine’s recovery and integrate Ukrainian innovation into the global tech ecosystem. A decisive factor for securing the investment was Dropla Tech’s strategic collaboration with Ukraine’s government-backed defense tech cluster, BRAVE1, which granted the company access to real combat data, military testing grounds, and direct engagement with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Founded in 2023 by Ukrainian entrepreneurs Vyacheslav Shvaidak, Dmytro Zarubin, Maksym Tkachenko, and Illarion Karnaukh, Dropla Tech now employs over 35 specialists across Denmark and Ukraine.
The company’s flagship product, BLUE EYES, is an autonomous system for real-time detection of mines and explosive ordnance, operating entirely offline without external server access. It is compatible with multiple drone platforms and remains functional even in GPS- and communication-denied environments, significantly improving logistical safety and unit survivability on the battlefield. Dropla Tech has also developed its own private testing facility and assembled Europe’s largest dataset of explosive threats, allowing its AI models to be trained and adapted for frontline operational conditions.
In parallel, the company is building DROPLA VISION, a new multisensor mapping platform designed for humanitarian demining. The system integrates data from optical, thermal, multispectral, magnetometric, and LiDAR sensors, providing comprehensive terrain awareness in contaminated areas.
The raised capital will be used to enhance and scale both BLUE EYES and DROPLA VISION, expand the team, strengthen R&D capabilities, and support the integration of Dropla’s technologies into Ukrainian defense units.
