Denmark will provide a state guarantee for a loan of DKK 750 million (approximately $112.6 million) to the Danish subsidiary of Ukrainian missile and drone manufacturer Fire Point. The financing will support the development of rocket propellant production in Denmark.
The Danish government announced the decision on October 21, 2026. The loan will be backed by a state guarantee, as Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine makes it difficult for the company to secure financing on standard market terms. The funding is expected to be provided through the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO).
Fire Point is building a solid rocket propellant manufacturing plant in Vojens, southern Denmark. The facility is expected to become operational by the end of 2027. Its production will supply propellant for Ukrainian missiles, including long-range systems.
According to the company, depending on product specifications and demand, the plant will be capable of producing enough propellant for 800 to 4,000 missiles annually. Establishing manufacturing capacity outside Ukraine is expected to strengthen supply chain resilience and reduce risks associated with Russian strikes on Ukraine's defense industry.
Support for Fire Point is also part of expanding cooperation between Ukraine's defense sector and European partners. In August 2026, the company announced agreements with more than a dozen European defense companies to integrate radar systems, guidance technologies and other solutions into its FREYJA missile defense project.
