LLC DesnaLand started works for the construction of hemp processing plant in the town of Glukhiv in Sumy region of Ukraine, according to the press service of the Glukhov City Council. The facility will be located over the site of the former food factory. The plant will produce oil from flax and hemp seeds.
The buildings of the former food production complex was almost completely destroyed and now the repair works have started transforming the facilities for the needs of the plant for processing flax seeds and hemp.
Hemp and flax seeds are gaining popularity in world markets due to their medicinal properties. In this respect, it is quite promising that demand for these ecologically clean products will grow both in the pharmaceutical industry and in the food industry worldwide.
Worth noting that domestic business group Arnika planned to launch a plant for processing hemp straws last year.
