EBRD provided USD 5mln loan to Dneprovskaya agroindustrial group of companies, the senior communication adviser of EBRD reported. The facility is aimed at enhancing operational and ecological readings by setting up a biomass steam boiler. The biomass steam boiler has a working capacity of 12tons per hour. It will reduce water consumption by 60% and cut natural gas burning in five times less at the enterprise facilities. At this, after launching the boiler the CO2 emissions will decrease by 9 300 tons a year. The loan will be accompanied by a stimulating grant worth USD 850 000 in the frames of the EBRD’s FINTECC (Finance and Technology Transfer Center) aiming at adaptation to the changing climate.
