Expocenter of Ukraine to build exhibition center worth USD 10.7mln

The facility will be located at the vast territories at prospect Hlushkova 1 in Kyiv

Expoplaza LLC won the competitive tendering of the National Complex Expocenter of Ukraine for the construction of a new exhibition center at Hlushlova 1 in Kyiv, where there are still other premises of the project owner. The project worth is estimated at USD 10.7mln. Meteor LLC from the city of Dnipro also participated in the competition. Major criteria were financial solvency and previous experience of a contracting party.

The future proceeds from the operations of anew exhibition center will cover all the ongoing future demands upon the provision of amenities of the landscapes at Expocenter of Ukraine, told Evgenii Mushkin the senior officer of Expocenter of Ukraine.

The construction must be finished by the end of 2018.

Expocenter of Ukraine presented a new development concept for 40 years this summer. The complex will be divided into several clusters of exposition and art, education and innovations, exhibition and business, landscape and eco-recreation, as well as sports and city forest.

According to preliminary estimates, the total cost of the renovation of Expocenter of Ukraine will amount to EUR 170-350mln.

Expocenter of Ukraine is a former soviet Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of Ukrainian SSR, known as VDNKh (abbreviated form) built in 1958 for exhibition of agricultural and industrial machinery, as well as other scientific achievements. There are more than 180 buildings in the territory of the city forest in Kyiv over more than 286ha of land.
