One of the abovementioned examples of the fairs is the largest international food show Gulfood 2017 to be held in the United Arab Emirates from 26 February 2017 until 02 March 2017.
Gulfood is the largest specialized food and drinks trade fair for the Gulf countries, in the Middle East and in the world. It is very popular among the visitors from the Gulf countries in particular, as those countries import more than 95% of foods consumed there. At this, the re-exports from the UAE amount to about USD 15.8bn annually, making the fair a very important event. More than 5 200 companies and 110 000 visitors from 170 countries attended the exhibition back in 2016.
