Express delivery Nova Poshta invested EUR 15mln in innovative sort facility in Kyiv. The Kyiv Innovative Terminal can sort more than 350 thousand parcels per day. The phase 1 of the terminal put into operations will be majoring sorting of parcels and envelopes for the right bank of the Kyiv city and Kyiv region.
The company bought equipment from Vanderlande using half of the investment amount from its own funds and another half were the borrowed money. The center will service up to 400 heavy trucks with a 4,500 barcodes throughput per hour.
The entire facility is finished at 80% and additional USD 5-10mln will be needed to finish the second phase of the construction plan, told Volodymyr Popereshniuk the co-founder of Nova Poshta.
The construction of the phase 1 of the projected have been carried out since 2015. The total area of the terminal amounts to 23 900 square meters of which 14 800 were put into operations.
