Former CEO of Hyundai Motor Ukraine acquires company's controlling stake

The Anti-monopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) made the announcement

Mr Ihor Hladkovsky will become a major shareholder in Hyundai Motor Ukraine LLC, according to the approved permission by the regulator AMCU. The shareholder is a son of the vice deputy of the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. In the meantime, Hyundai Motor Ukraine is affiliated to JSC AC Bogdan Motors being associated with the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Ihor Hladkovsky occupied a position of the CEO after Sergey Krasulia left Hyundai Motor Ukraine by his own volition in 2015. Later, Ihor Hladkovsky moved abroad for better education leaving the company under management of Hennadiy Chetvertukhin who remains the CEO of the company, as of present.

Prior to the deal, the corporate shareholders of Hyundai Motor Ukraine LLC were Autoretail Holding Limited registered in Cyprus with 15.1% of the shares, Vehicles Distribution Holdings - 18.4%, H.U.D.C with 24% stake, Bogdan Industry LLC - 20.5%, and closed non-diversified investment venture fund Breeze holding 15.5% of the company's shares. In the meantime, Igor Hladkovsky held minority 6.5% stake.
