French Companies to Invest Over UAH 650 Million in REFASTIV, an Autonomous Residential District in Fastiv, Under the "Fund for Ukraine" Program

According to Fastiv Mayor Mykhailo Netiazhuк, the REFASTIV project envisions a self-sufficient neighborhood equipped with independent water and power supply systems. The new district will be developed on land bordered by I. Mazepa Street, S. Palia Street, and Dachnyi Lane.

The first construction phase is expected to be completed within 16 months and will include a residential block and a medical rehabilitation center for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and those affected by the war.

Originally presented in autumn 2024, REFASTIV is designed as a model for the Ukrainian city of the future, covering 147,000 m². The district will feature 110–150 housing units designated for IDPs, wounded veterans, and people with disabilities. The project will also integrate energy-efficient solutions, including geothermal and solar energy systems to ensure fully autonomous power supply.

The development is part of a broader €200 million critical infrastructure recovery program supported by French partners.
