Government channels UAH 1.7bn (USD 63mln) for social projects in regions

Work on projects will commence in 2017

The government has remitted UAH 1.7bn (USD 63mln) for the implementation of more than 1,000 social and economic projects in the regions of Ukraine.

The projects include kindergartens, schools, stadiums, outpatient clinics, other medical institutions, and roads, told PM Volodymyr Groysman.

Among others, there is a project of ring road repair in the city of Dnipro worth UAH 250mln, completion of the regional perinatal center in Lutsk worth UAH 45mln, and reconstruction of the water supply system in the city of Khmelnitsky worth UAH 10million.

Work on projects must start in 2017. All the facilities will provide access for people with disabilities.
