Heirs of Zemlya i Volya Founder Receive Stakes in One of Chernihiv Region’s Largest Agricultural Holdings

The estate of Leonid Yakovyshyn, founder of the agricultural company Zemlya i Volya, who passed away on July 26, 2025 at the age of 86, has been officially divided among three heirs

The estate of Leonid Yakovyshyn, founder of the agricultural company Zemlya i Volya, who died on July 26, 2025, at the age of 86, has been officially divided among three heirs. This is according to data from the YouControl analytical system.

According to registry information, shares in the inherited assets were received by the entrepreneur’s two daughters — Victoria Dronova and Inna Yakovyshyna — as well as his grandson Maksym Yakovyshyn.

The ownership structure is distributed as follows:

  • Victoria Dronova — 50%
  • Inna Yakovyshyna — 25%
  • Maksym Yakovyshyn — 25%

As a result, the controlling stake in the family agricultural business is concentrated in the hands of Victoria Dronova.

No Plans to Sell the Company

Earlier, Victoria Dronova stated that the family does not consider selling Zemlya i Volya, which is one of the key agricultural enterprises in the Chernihiv region.

According to her, after her father’s death the family agreed that she would act as the manager of the inherited assets.

“I have said at every stage that the company is not for sale — Zemlya i Volya is not for sale. I feel responsible for this company that my father created and developed,” Dronova said in an interview with Femida Business.

Disputes Around the Inheritance

According to Dronova, after the entrepreneur’s death in September 2025, individuals appeared who, through Telegram channels, began claiming alleged new rights to the inheritance.

She emphasized that the only direct heirs of Leonid Yakovyshyn are his two daughters.

“Other than his two legal daughters — myself and Inna — my father had no other children,” she said.

Legacy of One of Ukraine’s Most Prominent Agrarian Entrepreneurs

Leonid Yakovyshyn was one of Ukraine’s most prominent agricultural entrepreneurs and the long-time head of Zemlya i Volya, which ranks among the largest agricultural producers in the Chernihiv region.

During his lifetime, the businessman repeatedly noted that he saw his grandson Maksym Yakovyshyn as a potential successor in the family business.

“He is my hope for the future in economics, politics, and agronomy,” Yakovyshyn said in one of his interviews.

The division of the inheritance effectively formalizes a family governance model for the agricultural business, which remains under the control of the founder
