The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the registration of a new industrial park called “Steel Kyiv Region”, which will be established in the Kyiv region and specialize in metalworking enterprises. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Economy.
The industrial park will be located within the Bila Tserkva community and will cover an area of nearly 12 hectares. According to the approved concept, the project is designed for 49 years of operation. The initiator of the park is Grandsteel LLC.
The main goal of the project is to create a metalworking industrial cluster, with plans to attract around UAH 3.5 billion in investment. The project is expected to generate approximately 400 new jobs.
The industrial park is intended to host enterprises operating in various segments of the metalworking industry. In particular, this includes companies engaged in:
- metal processing and the application of various coatings to metal products;
- mechanical processing of metal parts;
- forging, pressing, stamping, and profiling of metal, as well as powder metallurgy;
- production of metal structures and metal products for construction;
- manufacture of other types of finished metal products.
Project financing is expected to come from the initiator’s own funds, state support programs for industrial parks, as well as investments from resident companies that will locate their production facilities within the park.
The Ministry of Economy also noted that, with the inclusion of this new project, the state register now contains more than 100 industrial parks, which are regarded as one of the instruments for industrial development, investment attraction, and job creation in Ukraine’s regions.
