The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has approved a deal allowing the country’s largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, to acquire a controlling stake in the charter capital of Sanvin 11, a renewable energy company. The committee’s decision was issued on November 6, according to official records.
Sanvin 11 operates a 12.95 MW solar power plant located in the Zhytomyr region, according to data from the Energo.ua platform. The AMCU’s approval enables Kyivstar to purchase a share in the company’s capital that grants more than 50% of the voting rights in its governing body.
Sanvin 11, registered in Odesa, specializes in solar energy production. According to YouControl, the company’s revenue for the previous year amounted to UAH 81.8 million.
Currently, 100% of the company’s charter capital is owned by MERESTONO LIMITED, a Cyprus-based entity. The ultimate beneficiaries of this structure are Ukrainian citizen Nataliia Bohacheva, residing in the Czech Republic, and Israeli citizen Petro Rozenkranz, each holding a 50% stake.
The acquisition of Sanvin 11 will allow Kyivstar to enter the renewable energy market, diversifying beyond telecommunications and expanding its role in the development of Ukraine’s green economy.
