The largest Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar, after purchasing a controlling stake in Helsi (Helsi Ukraine LLC) in August 2022, invested $3 million in the development of the company, said the president of Kyivstar, Oleksandr Komarov, at the Kyiv International Economic Forum.
During the year that we owned (Helsi), we invested $3 million in the development of this player. The team increased by 2.5 times,” Komarov said.
According to him, the number of telemedicine consultations doubled in 2023.
Helsi is a medical information system and a leading digital provider in the Ukrainian healthcare sector, which has more than 23 million patients and is known as a provider of SaaS medical information system solutions for 1,300 public and private clinics. Kyivstar acquired 69.99% in August last year for UAH 555.74 million.
According to the Kyivstar report for the second quarter of 2023, Helsi increased the number of registered users to 25.4 million patients, while in the previous quarter it was said about more than 25 million.
Downloads of the Helsi mobile app increased by 400,000 to reach 5.4 million in the second quarter, while the number of doctor appointment bookings through the platform remained at around 1.8 million for the quarter.
