Lviv Liquor and Vodka Plant Sold for UAH 212 Million as Auction Price Rises 30%

The Lviv Liquor and Vodka Plant has been sold for UAH 212 million, with the lot price increasing by nearly 30%. The plant will continue producing vodka and vinegar under well-known brands

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has sold the unified property complex of the former Lviv Liquor and Vodka Plant for UAH 212.15 million. The starting price was UAH 164.19 million (excluding VAT), and the winning bidder offered UAH 176.79 million (excluding VAT), which totaled UAH 212,147,451.60 including tax. The lot price increased by almost 30%. The sole participant and buyer was PJSC Lviv Liquor and Vodka Plant, which had leased the facility for many years. The privatization took place through a buyout by the single auction participant.

The privatized asset is a functioning liquor and vodka plant located on Korduby Street in Lviv. The plant produces vodka under the brands Perlova, Lemberg, Premium Lviv, Lvivska, as well as vinegar. The unified property complex includes 33 real estate objects with a total area of 21,100 m² (production buildings, workshops, warehouses, rail tracks), a 4.9 ha land plot, 18 vehicles (mainly forklifts and locomotives manufactured in 1985–1997), and 392 units of movable assets (equipment, pipelines, tanks, a fuel dispenser, and more).

Between 2022 and the first half of 2025, the plant’s product sales amounted to UAH 670.9 million. A key step in reforming the sector was President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s signing of the law abolishing the state monopoly on alcohol production in December 2019. The law liberalizing production and circulation of ethyl alcohol came into force on July 1, 2020.

By September 2020, the State Property Fund had begun the privatization of state-owned distilleries. The first successful sale took place on December 10, 2020, when the first privately owned distillery in independent Ukraine was acquired by LVN Limited (Nemiroff brand) for UAH 55 million. As of November 2021, the Fund had privatized 30 distilleries, generating UAH 1.7 billion in total proceeds, including UAH 1.05 billion transferred directly to the state budget.
