MHP Takes Over Operations of Major Ukrainian Sausage Producer Myasovyta

Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee has approved a lease agreement allowing Yuriy Kosiuk’s agro-industrial holding MHP to operate the production facilities of Myasovyta LLC in Berdychiv

On August 7, the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) announced that it had granted MHP approval to take control of Myasovyta’s assets through a combination of acquiring the legal entity and leasing its integrated production complex. According to Forbes Ukraine, opting for a lease rather than a full acquisition may be linked to the challenges of business valuation during wartime.

The deal involves two companies — Myasovyta and Inko-Food Ukraine — both owned by Nina Stempien through Polish-registered Friedman Sp. z o.o., incorporated on June 10, 2025, according to Poland’s ALEO register.

Founded in 2014 in Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region, Myasovyta is one of Ukraine’s largest meat processing plants, specializing in cooked and smoked sausages, frankfurters, and meat delicacies.

The company’s financial performance improved in 2024: revenue grew by 5% to UAH 1.3 billion, while net profit increased fivefold to UAH 25 million. Annual EBITDA reached UAH 27 million, representing a margin of roughly 2%, according to Forbes Ukraine estimates.

During the ongoing war, MHP lost control over its key asset in the segment — the Baschynskyi meat processing plant in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. Since 2022, the holding has been actively seeking ways to re-enter the sausage and processed meat market.

Citing industry sources, Forbes Ukraine reports that MHP has reached an agreement with Myasovyta to produce meat products at its facilities using raw materials supplied by Kosiuk’s holding.
