Mikhail Voevodin bought shares in VS Energy from Evgeny Giner and Alexander Babakov

VS Energy has assets in Ukraine in the energy, hotel, metallurgy and financial businesses

This was announced by MP, head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on energy and housing and communal services Andriy Gerus. In his Telegram, he claims that VS Energy now has only one shareholder – Mr. Voevodin, "this agreement has been financed by one of the richest Ukrainian oligarchs issuing a loan to Mr. Voevodin".

At the moment, the VS Energy group unites Kherson-, Zhytomyr-, Kirovograd-, Rivne- and Chernivtsyoblenergo.

According to media reports, VS Energy was controlled by Russian businessmen Alexander Babakov, Evgeny Giner, Mikhail Voevodin and Sergey Shapovalov. However, in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, 3 citizens of Latvia and 2 citizens of Germany are indicated as the ultimate beneficial owners of VS Energy International Ukraine LLC, which manages the Oblenergo.

According to the information of the Unified State Register, in particular, these five citizens of Latvia and Germany now each own 16.79% of the shares of Rivneoblenergo (83.95% in total). As of the third quarter of 2020, Washington Holdings B.V. (Netherlands) owned 83.33% of the shares of Rivneoblenergo.
