Vasyl Danyliak, CEO of OKKO Group, announced that the company plans to develop approximately 600 MW of wind energy, 200 MW of solar power, and 150 MW of energy storage capacity over the next five years.
In February 2025, OKKO became the first company in Ukraine to launch a 20 MW energy storage system. The group is currently constructing a 150 MW wind power plant and has already built around 5 MW of solar installations by mid-2024.
“Distributed energy generation is, above all, about security, which is a critical factor in any business,” Danyliak emphasized.
Between 2021 and 2024, OKKO invested around UAH 87 million in rooftop solar installations. Its first 20 MW battery system, launched in February, required an investment of approximately €20 million, with a projected payback period of seven years.
In April, OKKO secured €157 million in financing for the construction of a wind farm in the Volyn region, supplementing the funding with an additional €68 million of its own capital.
