The power infrastructure, with a total capacity of 17.7 MW and a length of 15 km, is being built in two phases. The total investment in the project amounts to €11 million. The first phase, currently underway, includes the construction of a 9-kilometer overhead line costing €5 million. As of July 2025, eight of the planned 53 pylons have been installed. The overhead line is expected to be completed by the end of the year, after which underground cable work will begin.
This initiative is part of GORO Mountain Resort’s obligations under significant investment agreements signed in June 2025 with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and local authorities. Upon meeting all contractual conditions, the state will reimburse the resort’s grid construction costs. The total required investment from GORO Mountain Resort is at least €140 million.
Construction began in October 2024. The first ski runs, spanning 1.5 km, along with a 6,000 m² Welcome Centre, are scheduled to open for the 2026–2027 winter season.
The first development phase includes the construction of nine hotels with over 1,100 rooms, featuring spa areas, pools, restaurants, and other facilities. The ONDE Hotel, the resort’s first hotel complex, is currently under construction and expected to open in 2028.
The entire resort will cover approximately 1,200 hectares. Over the next 15 years, the development plan envisions 25 hotels with 5,150 rooms, 41 ski runs totaling 75 km, two gondola lifts, 11 chairlifts, and various infrastructure facilities. The total investment in the project is estimated at $1.5 billion, of which $500 million will be provided by OKKO Group, with the remainder to be raised from additional investors.
