OKKO owners are buying a wind farm project from Lviv businessman Ivan Torsky

The AMCU allowed the Cypriot GNG Retail Limited, which owns the OKKO Group holding, to acquire the companies Wind Power GIS Volyn and Wind Power GIS Volyn 3 LLC.

According to the Unified Register for Environmental Impact Assessment, these companies are planning to build a wind farm complex with a capacity of 150 MW in the Vladimir district of the Volyn region.

Wind Power GES Volyn LLC, affiliated with Wind Power GSI (Truskavets, Lviv region), is part of the Greenville Energy group of companies, owned by JSC Closed Non-Diversified Venture Corporate Investment Fund Greenville. The ultimate beneficial owner is Greenville Invest. - Torsky Ivan Mikhailovich.

In 2012, Focus magazine estimated Ivan Torsky's fortune at $337 million, and he was on the list of the richest Ukrainians. Torsky is the owner of the TKS company and the beneficiary of PJSC Lviv Tool Plant. This company builds residential complexes under the Greenville brand and is one of the largest developers in Lviv.

At the end of 2023, Ukraine's largest fuel company, OKKO, announced plans to build a 150 MW wind farm in the Volyn region. The head of OKKO Vasily Danilyak said that the company acquired an energy storage project with a capacity of 20 MW.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, OKKO will be able to become one of the top three leaders in Ukrainian wind energy.
