PGNiG received the AMCU approval to purchase control over Karpatygazvydobuvannya

Polish company PGNiG and Ukrainian group "Energy Resources of Ukraine" are planning joint gas production in Lviv region

The AMCU allowed Polish PGNiG SA to acquire over 50% in Karpatygazvydobuvannya LLC.

"Karpatygazvydobuvannya" LLC, owned by the Ukrainian group of companies "ERU", owns a special permit for the Biblivskaya oil and gas area (Lviv region).

In December 2019, PGNiG SA and the Ukrainian group of companies "ERU" signed an agreement on the exploration and production of natural gas in Lviv region. The agreement provides for the drilling at the initial stage of an exploratory well up to 2 500 meters deep, and measures to design the location of other wells.

PGNIG plans to start gas exploration in Ukraine in the first half of 2021.

Energy Resources of Ukraine is a group of companies with foreign investments specializing in the implementation of projects in the Ukrainian energy sector. The ERU group belongs to Yaroslav Mudryi and Dale Perry.

PGNiG is the largest oil and gas company in Poland, engaged in the development of gas and oil fields, production, storage and transportation of energy carriers, as well as the construction and development of an oil and gas transport network, export and import of gas.
