Plastic packaging IMMER Group attracts USD 30mln from IFC

The funds will be channeled to increase the competitive edge of the company

International Finance Corporation (IFC) will give more than EUR 30mln loan to producer of flexible packaging materials IMMER Group, according to a press release of IFC. The funds will be channeled to finance the export oriented production and contribute to job creation in Ukraine.

The facility includes EUR 15mln debt financing from other pool of investors too. The funds are aimed at supporting growth of IMMER Ukrplastic which is a major production site of the group located in Kyiv.

The financing of the business activities of IMMER Group is very timely considering the growing economy of Ukraine, according to Iryna Miroshnik the president of IMMER Group.

The company will launch new innovation solutions for food industry and agriculture in Ukraine, told Iryna Miroshnik.

The facility fully corresponds to a strategic course of IFC activities in Ukraine aiming at strengthening the competitiveness of local productions, support in job creation and stimulating export oriented companies, the IFC regional office beleives.

IMMER Group is one of the world’s largest producers of flexible packaging materials, films and labels. IMMER Ukrplastic was founded in 1927.
