Polish investors to build waste recycling plant for EUR 35mln

The facility will be located in Chernigiv region

Polish investors and city mayor of Chernigiv has reached the corresponding agreement on erection of the waste recycling plant. The project is similar to one working in Poznan in Poland. The technology used there helps not only to recycle the city garbage but also to handle the issues of landfills.

The technology is ecological, as the waste is not being burned, the CEO of the Polish enterprise Cegielskiy told. Instead the waste will be grounded and heated in special boilers for up to 120 degrees Celsius. As a result, the volumes of garbage will be reduced by some 60% by the reduced water content. In this way, a bad odor will be removed too. In the end, the garbage will be sorted out. The investing company will get a loan from a bank under 3% interest in Poland which the city of Chernigiv in Ukraine is bound to pay in full.
