On August 28, the State Ukreximbank put up for sale for the third time the debt obligations secured by the mortgage of the huge unfinished building on Beresteysky prospect in Kyiv, Sky Towers.
The auction is scheduled for September 27. The starting price of the auction is UAH 1.1 billion. This amount is five times less than a year earlier - in 2023, the bank issued a lot for almost UAH 5.6 billion.
The Sky Towers building consists of two towers (Tower A - 47 floors, Tower B - 34 floors), connected by a stylobate, and a separate two-story building on the eastern side of the complex.
The area of the land plot at the intersection of ave. Beresteyskyi and st. Borshchagivska in the Shevchenkiv district of Kyiv - 0.74 ha. Construction readiness of the facility is 40%.
The construction of the functional complex was started in 2007 by KDD Group (Kyiv Donbas Development Group). Sky Towers with the highest tower of 214 m was supposed to become the highest skyscraper in Ukraine.
However, construction stopped completely in 2015. Currently, the unfinished building actually consists of 27 floors, which are partially glazed.
It is known that there are already three potential auction participants. Previously, development companies, builders, financial firms, as well as trustees of private investors, were interested in the purchase of claim rights, the press service of Ukreximbank said.
