For over two years, KIND has been involved in Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts. Its initiatives include a master plan for transportation development in the Kyiv region, plans for airport reconstruction and modernization, railway renovation, and other projects in partnership with Ukrainian cities and municipalities.
During a meeting with KIND representatives, Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy discussed opportunities for South Korea to collaborate with the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and export credit agencies to expand mechanisms for insuring war-related risks.
Additionally, the Korean government has announced a $10 million contribution to support infrastructure projects in Ukraine under the newly launched four-year Economic Innovation Partnership Program (EIPP).
The EIPP will offer strategic consulting, project design, and pre-feasibility studies to strengthen long-term economic cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea.
Up to 25 initiatives are expected to be implemented under the program.
