State owned aircraft Antonov Company seeks USD 26mln of investments

In order to start a full scale production Antonov Company needs state support worth UAH 700mln, aviation counsel with PM Volodymyr Groysman has revealed. The state owned aircraft building Antonov Company produced 16 planes during last five years. At this, no plane during last 10 years was profitable, told Mikhail Gvozdev, the president of Ukrainian Aviation Company. The funds are aimed at creating a leasing company that could help in making sales profitable. The company prepared a plan to replace Russian parts for the planes. If the funds could be obtained, the company is capable of producing 100 planes during 2018-2021. In particular, it will be 60 planes of AN-148/158, 18; AN-178 and 18; and AN-132.
