Textile-Contact Group Invested About $14.5 Million in Business Development During the War

Amid the war, the group invested around $14.5 million in expanding production, preserving 13 factories and 1,500 jobs despite pressure from law enforcement agencies

“During the war, we invested approximately $14.5 million. Light industry is a long-term game. We even relocated one of our factories from Poland — that’s 65 trucks of equipment, which is currently being installed. Over the past three years, we have paid UAH 1.1 billion in taxes. It may not seem like much, but we employ over 1,400 people — that’s about UAH 300,000 in taxes per employee per year,” said Oleksandr Sokolovskyi, owner of the holding, at the Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF).

At the same time, the businessman noted that Ukrainian companies continue to face significant pressure from law enforcement agencies, particularly those that have cooperated with the government under military procurement contracts during the war.

“I know for sure that a criminal case has been opened against us. I take it calmly; we are preparing our defense. But if they come and start blocking our operations, we won’t resist — I’m ready to hand over the keys of the factories to the security forces. Let them try to run them better,” he stated.

The Textile-Contact Group (TK Group) was founded in 1995 and represents a vertically integrated holding that covers all stages of textile production — from raw materials and yarns to finished products for B2B, B2G, and B2C clients. The group includes 13 factories and employs about 1,500 people.

The company’s founder, Oleksandr Sokolovskyi, is the Head of the Committee on Defense Procurement in Light Industry at the Federation of Employers of Ukraine and a member of the civic movement Manifest 42.
