The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has not yet planned to invest in the Ukrainian Development Fund (UDF), which is being created by the Ukrainian government in cooperation with BlackRock and JP Morgan, but will consider co-investing with it in the future.
"Currently, the EBRD does not plan to invest in the UDF Fund, but in the future we will consider the possibility of joint investment with the UDF on an individual basis," the EBRD representative said.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Rostyslav Shurma noted that the launch of the UDF is planned for the first half of 2024, probably before the Ukraine Recovery Conference-2024, which will be held on June 11-12, 2024 in Berlin.
The Bloomberg agency specified the other day that the UDF will be registered in Luxembourg. Referring to the words of the vice chairman of the board of BlackRock Inc. Philip Hildebrand, the agency informed that at the first stage the fund intends to attract at least $500 million from countries, development banks and other grant providers, as well as $2 billion from private investors.
