The World Bank will create a special financial trust fund for Ukraine worth at least $10 billion

he World Bank's special financial trust fund for Ukraine will amount to at least $10 billion, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"The World Bank's Board has endorsed the establishment of a special financial trust fund for Ukraine. The size of this fund will be at least $10 billion. The main donors will be the United States and several more countries, and the fund's size could be increased in the future, when other donors join it," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a government meeting last Friday.

Said funding will be used primarily to support the Ukrainian budget, i.e. the payment of salaries to public sector employees and social expenditures, as well as critical reconstruction needs, he said.
