Ukrainian IT group Vchasno Group, led by Mykola Paliienko, has invested $1 million in the Uzbek startup Hippo.uz. Hippo.uz is a business process automation platform that integrates electronic document management, warehouse operations, and data exchange between suppliers and retailers. The investment will be used to scale operations, launch new products and features, and expand Hippo.uz’s customer base across Uzbekistan.
“We studied various markets and concluded that Uzbekistan is showing rapid growth in the segment of digital business services,” said Mykola Paliienko, co-founder and CEO of Vchasno Group. “We are investing in Hippo because we see a strong team, products that meet market demand, and the potential to become a local leader with the support of our experience and resources.”
Hippo.uz operates as an ecosystem of services for small and medium-sized businesses built around four key modules: electronic document management, electronic order exchange, POS systems for retail and wholesale, and warehouse management. The startup was founded by Ilkhom Makhmudov and Mukhtar Salaev in 2021. “With the support of our Ukrainian partners, we will be able to offer integrated solutions for retail and accelerate our expansion across Uzbekistan,” said Makhmudov.
Mykola Paliienko is the co-founder of the Ukrainian IT company EVO, which created the marketplace Prom.ua. In 2018, EVO merged with Rozetka. In 2023, a new company called Tabula Rasa was spun off from EVO-Rozetka, bringing together projects such as Vchasno, Zakupki.Prom, and others, with Paliienko as CEO. In 2025, Tabula Rasa was renamed Vchasno Group.
Vchasno Group offers a portfolio of digital products, including Vchasno.EDO (electronic document management), Vchasno.Kasa (software-based cash register for e-receipts), Vchasno.EDI (electronic data interchange for retail), Vchasno.KEP (secure digital signatures and seals), and Vchasno.TTN (electronic consignment notes). Subscription plans for Vchasno.EDO range from UAH 200 to 800 per month, depending on the volume of services and number of connected employees. According to the company, more than 1 million businesses use its services, including Kuehne + Nagel, Radehiv Sugar, and the Ukrainian branch of Lyft.
In February 2025, Vchasno Group acquired 80% of the accounting service “YaTax” for sole proprietors and financed the British startup RICH with $50,000. RICH, a UK-based startup with Ukrainian roots, is developing a platform to verify the authenticity of scientific papers and research using blockchain and AI technologies.
Thus, Vchasno Group’s investment in Hippo.uz underscores its strategy of international expansion and commitment to supporting digital business transformation in Uzbekistan.
