Ukrainian-Estonian startup Farsight Vision, which develops AI solutions for military intelligence and battlefield management, has closed a €7.2 million Seed funding round. Investors include U.S.-based Axon Enterprise, Estonia’s state-backed fund SmartCap, and several European defense-focused funds.
The company reports that its technology is already deployed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In recent months, the startup has expanded partnerships across several NATO countries and signed its first commercial contract in Asia. Farsight Vision’s platform integrates real-time battlefield and unmanned systems data, creating an “integration layer” for mission planning and execution using UAVs and UGVs, offering an alternative to static satellite intelligence.
The proceeds will be used to advance automation of robotic systems for logistics, navigation, and weapons management; deepen integration with drone manufacturers and combat management systems; develop solutions for more effective deployment and analysis of electronic warfare assets; and expand international partnerships while contributing to evolving defense doctrines.
CEO and co-founder Viktoriia Yaremchuk described the round as a significant milestone in strengthening the global presence of Ukrainian defense innovation. CTO and co-founder Volodymyr Nepiyuk added that the company’s objective is to build a “continuously updated model of the world” that both humans and autonomous systems can rely on to understand terrain, infrastructure, and real-time changes on the ground.
Axon founder and CEO Rick Smith emphasized that technologies validated in real combat conditions evolve faster and more effectively. Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov stated that the investment in Farsight Vision highlights the transformation of Ukrainian wartime startups into global players in defense technology.
Founded in 2023, Farsight Vision initially launched as a frontline mapping tool and later evolved into a full-scale geospatial intelligence platform for unmanned systems and combat robotics. The team operates across Ukraine and Estonia, reinforcing technological cooperation between countries facing shared security challenges and strengthening Europe’s eastern flank.
