Ukrainian technology company Holywater, which builds products for mobile platforms, has announced the acquisition of Jeynix — a specialized AI technical team focused on hyper-realistic visual effects and the integration of artificial intelligence into VFX workflows. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2025, Jeynix is known for its expertise in facial animation, face matching, de-aging, and precise lip synchronization (lip-sync) — techniques that enable the production of video content with realistic acting performance. As part of the transaction, Jeynix’s core technical team and proprietary developments will be integrated into Holywater’s infrastructure, strengthening the company’s in-house AI-driven visual effects capabilities and enhancing the cinematic quality of its content, even with limited production budgets.
According to the company, the integration of Jeynix technologies will enable Holywater to:
- produce video content at the level of high-budget productions,
- accelerate production iterations and localization across different markets,
- adapt projects to new formats and language audiences within days.
Holywater is a Ukrainian AI-focused technology company known for its products in the entertainment segment, including mobile platforms My Drama, My Passion, My Muse, and FreeBits, which collectively reach tens of millions of users across the United States, Europe, and other regions.
The acquisition comes amid the company’s active growth phase: in January 2026, Holywater raised $22 million in funding — one of the largest investments in the microdrama segment outside Asia — with participation from Horizon Capital and U.S.-based investors.
According to the company’s co-founders and executives, the acquisition of Jeynix will allow Holywater to combine creative potential with AI-driven technological expertise, expanding its capacity to produce high-quality video content for a global audience.
