Ukrainian Military Training App DrillApp Raises $100K

Ukrainian startup DrillApp, which develops a training platform for military personnel, secures $100,000 from undisclosed angel investors and veterans

According to the company, the funds will be directed toward the development of a new FPV drone training course, a module on international humanitarian law, a psychological stabilization program, and a B2B platform for professional defense education.

Oleksandr Husarov, a special forces officer with the Azov unit and co-founder of DrillApp, explained that the platform enables instructors and veterans worldwide to scale their expertise, create training content, and monetize their knowledge.

DrillApp currently serves over 200,000 users, including 50,000 active military personnel.

The company stated that its product is being tested within NATO structures and by instructors from Canada, Poland, and Estonia, and it has received localization requests from Israel and the United States.

Drill was co-founded by Husarov — former Head of Product at OLX and current CTO of Forbes Ukraine — and a special forces operator named Ihor.

To date, Drill has attracted $110,000 in total funding, consisting of founders’ contributions and two grants from the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF), the second of which was awarded in January 2023.
