According to KSE President Tymofiy Mylovanov, the search for a new KSE campus began in spring 2024. Over two years, the university explored around 140 commercial properties but struggled to find a suitable option due to either poor quality or excessively high prices. Ultimately, the Kyiv Golf Center on the Obolon embankment was chosen as the best opportunity.
Alternative options considered included business centers in Kyiv, 10 hectares of forest near the capital, and land near the Dnipro River in the Kyiv region. However, the golf center proved to be the most advantageous solution.
Mylovanov stated that the acquisition deal is valued at $18 million, while total investment — including the building’s renovation, creation of new spaces, classrooms, laboratories, and landscaping — will amount to $40 million.
The new campus will serve engineers, mathematicians, urbanists, psychologists, and other specialists.
KSE also plans to preserve the golf center’s previous activities by supporting the sport and reviving the summer open-air cinema on the premises.
Mylovanov emphasized that KSE is a private university and a U.S.-registered nonprofit organization. All funding comes from international and Ukrainian donors and KSE’s partners.
Since 2022, KSE Foundation has received approximately $150 million from donors, and KSE is now investing in infrastructure to strengthen Ukraine’s engineering and mathematics education.
