Ukrainian-Rooted Focus Estate Fund Acquires Three Shopping Centers Near Katowice, Poland

Luxembourg-based Focus Estate Fund acquires Sosnowiec Plaza, Ruda Śląska Plaza, and Rybnik Plaza as part of its value-add retail investment strategy

Focus Estate Fund, a Luxembourg-based investment vehicle with Ukrainian roots, has announced the acquisition of three retail centers near Katowice, Poland: Sosnowiec Plaza, Ruda Śląska Plaza, and Rybnik Plaza.

According to the fund’s press office, the acquisition aligns with its strategy to invest in mid-sized urban retail centers with value-add potential.

The newly acquired properties host a range of well-known retail tenants, including Carrefour, Stokrotka, H&M, CCC, Sephora, Rossmann, and Reserved. They also feature dining and entertainment zones.

The oldest of the three, Ruda Śląska Plaza, opened in 2001 and offers 20,000 square meters of retail space and 520 parking spaces. The centers in Rybnik and Sosnowiec have been operating since 2007.

Maxym Shkolnyk, Partner at Focus Estate Fund, stated that the fund remains confident in the potential of the Polish market and sees significant opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe.

Focus Estate Fund already manages shopping centers in Płock, Nowy Sącz, Legnica, Sandomierz, and Bartoszyce.
